City Water Dual Tank
Two tanks: one softens, one filters.
The City Water Dual Tank is our fullest system for larger Palm Beach County homes on utility water: a dedicated softening tank for hardness and a separate carbon tank for chlorine or chloramine, priced exactly after a free in-home water test.
The bigger city-water build. A dedicated softening tank and a dedicated carbon tank, plumbed in at the point of entry so every tap, shower and appliance in the house is downstream of both. Treating in stages does each job properly rather than asking one bed of media to do everything, and both tanks backflush themselves to keep the system working for longer.
Best for: Larger homes on municipal supply, and anyone who wants the fullest city-water build

Questions about the City Water Dual Tank
Anything else, call Mike on (561) 354-3095. A real person answers.
Why does the City Water Dual Tank use two tanks?
Treating in stages lets each bed of media do one job properly. The first tank holds Resin Tech CG10 softening resin for the calcium and magnesium; the second holds granular activated coconut shell carbon for the chlorine or chloramine. One combined tank suits most homes, which is why our best seller works that way, but for a larger house, and anyone who wants the fullest city-water build, dedicated tanks give every tap, shower and appliance the complete treatment. Both tanks backflush themselves, and the self-cleaning design keeps upkeep light.
What does it do about chloramine and the twice-yearly chlorine switch?
That is the carbon tank's whole job. Palm Beach County Water Utilities and other utilities in the east of the county disinfect with chloramine, which gives longer-lasting disinfection in the mains and is still in the water when it reaches your tap. Twice a year the county switches to free chlorine to clean the mains, as its annual water quality report notes. A dedicated carbon tank handles both, so the taste and smell stay steady all year.
Can the City Water Dual Tank be used on a private well?
It is built for municipal supply, where the work is hardness plus a disinfectant. A private well brings different problems, sediment, iron and sulfur, so wells get the Well Water Dual Tank, which adds Katalox Light for the iron and high-efficiency smart valves on both units. The free test at your tap confirms which one your home needs.
How much does the City Water Dual Tank cost?
As the bigger build, it is quoted to your home: the free in-home test measures your water, we look at the size of the house and where the two tanks and the brine tank can go, and you get one exact price with installation included before you decide. A whole-home install is usually half a day. For reference, our softener plus reverse osmosis package starts at $2,850 installed.
