Whole Home Water Filter
No salt, no drain, no maintenance.
The Whole Home Water Filter is a maintenance-free carbon filtration system for Palm Beach County homes whose water is already soft: it treats every tap for taste, sediment and rust, with no salt, no drain line and an exact price from a free test.
A filtration-only system for sediment, dirt, rust and the particulate matter that comes with older plumbing, and there is a lot of older plumbing in this county. It protects the pipes and fixtures downstream and keeps pressure strong and steady. Nothing to refill, nothing to plumb to a drain, and nothing to remember.
Best for: Homes where the water is already soft but the taste and the pipework are not

Questions about the Whole Home Water Filter

Who is the Whole Home Water Filter for?
Homes where the water already arrives soft but the taste and the pipework need attention. Some Palm Beach County utilities soften at the plant, Boca Raton among them, so there the money goes further on carbon filtration for the taste and smell of the disinfectant, plus reverse osmosis at the kitchen tap. The free test at your sink shows which side of that line your home sits on, in about 15 minutes.
What does the Whole Home Water Filter take out?
Sediment, dirt, rust and the particulate matter that comes with older plumbing. As a point-of-entry system it treats all the water entering the house, through granular activated coconut shell carbon over polishing gravel. That is the same carbon our softener systems use for chlorine and chloramine, so the water also tastes and smells cleaner at every tap. Rusty color and sediment are the aesthetic problems EPA's secondary standards describe, and catching them here keeps pipes, fixtures and pressure in good shape.
What maintenance does the Whole Home Water Filter need?
Very little. It is 100% maintenance free, with no salt to refill, no drain to plumb in and nothing to remember. If your home has older pipework or a lot of sediment, a Pre Sediment Filter ahead of it catches the grit first and helps the whole system last longer.
How is it different from the Salt-Free Conditioner?
Both run without salt or a drain, but they do different jobs. The filter cleans the water: carbon for taste and smell, and it catches sediment and rust. The Whole Home Salt-Free Conditioner works on hardness, changing the minerals so they are far less likely to form scale. Hard water points to a softener or the conditioner; water that already arrives soft points here. Either way the free test sets one exact price, installation included.
