Region
North County
From Tequesta and Jupiter down through Palm Beach Gardens, North Palm Beach and Riviera Beach. Much of this stretch is on Seacoast Utility Authority, whose Hood Road plant runs largely on nanofiltration and low-pressure reverse osmosis and took the Florida Section AWWA's statewide Best Tasting Drinking Water title in 2022. Good water leaves that plant. What happens in your own plumbing on the way to the shower is the part we treat.

Region
Central Palm Beach County
West Palm Beach, Palm Beach, Lake Worth Beach and the villages west of them. This is the most mixed part of the county: four or five different suppliers inside a few miles, including PBCWUD's eastern system, which is disinfected with chloramine rather than plain chlorine. Two houses a mile apart genuinely can be on different water.

Region
South County
Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach and the coastal communities between them. Boca's own utility softens at the plant and publishes finished hardness around 65 to 80 mg/L; its neighbours treat differently. That spread is exactly why we test at your sink instead of quoting a city average.

Region
Western Communities & the Glades
Wellington's western edge, Loxahatchee, The Acreage, Westlake, and the Glades cities of Belle Glade, Pahokee and South Bay. Out here two things change: PBCWUD's western system draws from the Floridan aquifer 1,000 to 1,200 feet down, and a great many properties are on a private well instead. Both call for a fuller system than a coastal condo does.

Questions
Palm Beach County service area questions
The utility facts come from each supplier’s own annual report, and every community page links its own.
Sources: EPA: Consumer Confidence Reports; Florida DEP: Source and Drinking Water Program
Which communities does Honest Water Co. PB serve?
All 32 Palm Beach County communities on this page, from our office in West Palm Beach: 8 in North County, 9 in Central County, 9 in South County, 6 in Western Communities. That runs from Tequesta and Jupiter on the northern edge to Boca Raton in the south and west to Belle Glade, Pahokee and South Bay in the Glades.
Who supplies water in Palm Beach County?
Fifteen utilities, plus private wells across much of the western communities. The City of West Palm Beach runs the county's only surface-water system; the rest draw on the surficial (Biscayne) and Floridan aquifers and treat it anywhere from lime softening to full reverse osmosis. Each publishes an annual water quality report (a Consumer Confidence Report), and only two, Boca Raton and Tequesta, publish a finished hardness figure. Each community page links the official report or guidance behind it.
What is the average water score in Palm Beach County?
6.1 out of 10, across 29 scored locations. The Honest Water Score is our score, built from official utility reports: it rates the treatment each utility publishes, from full reverse osmosis at 8.5 to private wells at 3.0. After an install, homes score 9.5+, and the free test at your sink gives your own starting number.
How much does a water softener cost in Palm Beach County?
Our softener plus reverse osmosis package starts at $2,850, installed, with a lifetime warranty. Your hardness, the size of your home and where the equipment can go can add to that, so the free in-home test, about fifteen minutes at your kitchen sink, turns it into an exact number before you decide.
