Water softeners & filtration in Jupiter

Jupiter scores 7.0/10 on the Honest Water Score, our score built from official utility reports: it rates the treatment Town of Jupiter Utilities publishes. That places Jupiter in Tier 2 (Membrane plants and blends (nanofiltration / RO)) alongside Tequesta, Juno Beach and North Palm Beach, against a county average of 6.1 across 29 scored locations. After an install, homes score 9.5+, and the free test gives your own starting number.

Town of Jupiter Utilities supplies Jupiter, and its Town of Jupiter 2025 Water Quality Report sets out the details. Source water: 63 wells, 51 surficial-aquifer, the rest in the deeper Floridan aquifer. Treatment: Membrane plant, nanofiltration for surficial water, reverse osmosis for Floridan water. Disinfectant: Chloramine.

Town of Jupiter Utilities leaves finished hardness out of its annual report, so the free test at your Jupiter sink is how you find out. What the report does list is the treatment: Membrane plant, nanofiltration for surficial water, reverse osmosis for Floridan water. Generally softer than lime-softened systems, but the blend ratio decides what reaches you, and only a tap test settles it.

Jupiter is supplied by Town of Jupiter Utilities, whose report gives the source as: 63 wells, 51 surficial-aquifer, the rest in the deeper Floridan aquifer. The supplier and the treatment they use are what decide how hard your water is and what else is in it, and they vary enormously across this county. That is why we test at your sink rather than quoting an average.

The free test at your own sink answers it in about fifteen minutes. Where the water comes back hard, a softener is the biggest single change you can make to a house: no scale in the heater, no spotting on glassware, soap that finally rinses. Where it comes back already softened at the plant, we put the money where you will feel it instead: carbon filtration and reverse osmosis at the tap you drink from. Either way you finish knowing exactly which system fits Jupiter water and what it costs.

Our softener plus reverse osmosis package starts at $2,850, installed, with a lifetime warranty. Your water hardness, the size of your home and where the equipment can go can add to that, so the free in-home test turns it into an exact number for your house in Jupiter before you decide anything.

A whole-home system is usually a half day. An under-sink reverse osmosis system is around two hours. We clean up before we leave, and the price you agreed is the price at the end.
