After an install, homes score 9.5+, and the free test gives your own starting number.

City of West Palm Beach Public Utilities supplies Palm Beach, and its City of West Palm Beach Annual Water Quality Report, Reporting Year 2025 sets out the details. Source water: Surface water, Grassy Waters Preserve via the M-canal to Lake Mangonia and Clear Lake; the county's only surface-water system. Treatment: Coagulation and sedimentation, carbon and sand filtration, UV disinfection. Disinfectant: Chloramine.

City of West Palm Beach Public Utilities leaves finished hardness out of its annual report, so the free test at your Palm Beach sink is how you find out. What the report does list is the treatment: Coagulation and sedimentation, carbon and sand filtration, UV disinfection. Surface water chemistry differs from the wellfield systems entirely; hardness is unpublished, so the tap test is the only number.

Palm Beach is supplied by City of West Palm Beach Public Utilities, whose report gives the source as: Surface water, Grassy Waters Preserve via the M-canal to Lake Mangonia and Clear Lake; the county's only surface-water system. The supplier and the treatment they use are what decide how hard your water is and what else is in it, and they vary enormously across this county. That is why we test at your sink rather than quoting an average.

The free test at your own sink answers it in about fifteen minutes. Where the water comes back hard, a softener is the biggest single change you can make to a house: no scale in the heater, no spotting on glassware, soap that finally rinses. Where it comes back already softened at the plant, we put the money where you will feel it instead: carbon filtration and reverse osmosis at the tap you drink from. Either way you finish knowing exactly which system fits Palm Beach water and what it costs.

Our softener plus reverse osmosis package starts at $2,850, installed, with a lifetime warranty. Your water hardness, the size of your home and where the equipment can go can add to that, so the free in-home test turns it into an exact number for your house in Palm Beach before you decide anything.

A whole-home system is usually a half day. An under-sink reverse osmosis system is around two hours. We clean up before we leave, and the price you agreed is the price at the end.
